Busy all day- shopping AND looking for a JOB..

Sorry- didn't get anything done today- I was catching the sales before the money ran out. Everything else gets saved for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I applied to several places and I am praying that someone hires me soon... I am tired of being at home all day. Kayde is just too needy when I am here. I can't get anything done. And honestly- I got more done in my day when I worked.. So if anyone needs a helper-- I'm looking and can do anything-- that's legal..

Busy Busy busy

I have been very busy with working on a baby boy album. I also got a creative block yesterday so i'm getting out of the house today and heading for our Hobby Lobby to break up my normal routine.. I also spent the morning looking at other blogs, creating my wholesale account with Crafter's Companion- if you haven't been to their website you should. http://crafterscompanion.com  They have some great stuff. What I have used-- is the Crafter's Companion  Stick and Spray- and the NEW Glue Pens that have DOUBLE the adhesive as all other comparable brands... The tape is a little stingy and you have to be careful of it but for the same price as others for only 30 or so feet. I can put up with it. I use a lot of adhesive!

 Anyway check it out.. I will be adding the stuff to the website as soon as I can.. If you want anything let me know..

Updating the blog

So I worked today mostly on getting the blog set up the way I like it. I hope everyone likes it. I am new at this blog and website thing so I am still learning how to do it. SO if you have any suggestions feel free to contact me or comment and I'll see what I can do.
IN the mean time I am only working on finishing up some stuff I need to finish so I can move on. It won't take long if Kayde leaves me alone a little this week. I won't have Bryan so that will make it alot easier.

Tim Holtz Page -made at Scrap Pink Retreat from Scrapbook N Such

Hi I finished my 2 page layout that we done in the Tim Holtz class given while we were at the Scrap Pink Retreat given by Scrapbook N Such in Burkburnett, TX October 1-3, 2010.

We had alot of fun- I didn't take pictures so I finished my pages at home like always. I have gotten to do this on most everything I make now as for some reason I just work better on the details at home(maybe it's because that's where ALL my stuff is) you can only pack so much to take with you- ALTHOUGH some of the people there LOOKED like they brought everything they owned. If it's NOT all they own- I would LOVE to see their Scrapbook rooms(or houses) , they had containers and containers and containers of stuff.

 Anyway, My page came out great. I love it. Kayde really loves it as she got to help alittle.

It's alittle off center due to the camera and how I was hanging it to take the pic but it turned out great.
I may have to buy more of the Tim Holtz collection- I seen a few I really like.

 I am hoping Tammi(my Sister will accept my invitation to help me with my Blog and add some of her stuff to it to make it even better! She has tons of stuff she has done also.
 That's it for now. Kids should be waking up soon.

I am starting a little boy album so I will keep you posted.

Kayde Scrapbook page I finished after the Scrapbook retreat..

Here is the page I did all but the Picture at the retreat. But when I tried to sew it it messed up so I had to redo parts of it since I wanted it sewn.  All in all it came out great. The picture is printed on canvas so I had to take this outside to take a pic to get the most realistic picture of it.

Back from my Scrap Pink Retreat!

Well I got back late Sunday from my Scrap Pink retreat. We had so much fun- probably slept a little more than I had planned-although I could have slept soo much longer. I went to bed at 9PM last night--I never do that-but I was just so very tired. Anyway- got a few pages done while I was there.

 My sister, Tammi won the Pink Retreat Bra decorating contest..
I won Grand Prize - a Tote worth over $350.00.. I was so very surprised..

We are planning on going to the Next Crop in Feb-  link that that site is http://scrapbooknsuch.com/weekendretreatscrops.html The dates are 02/11/2010- 02/13/2010 at Camp Chaparral. the Cost is still under negotiations but should be 150.00(maybe alittle more..)
But this is for 3 days-2nights in hotel like rooms and all meals are cooked for us. Not a bad price at all.... Hope to get a few more people to go with us so we can reserve a table.... Let me know Thanks Jodie

Got my Cricut Imagine Today, for the second time!

I received my Cricut Imagine for the 2nd time today. Last time I got it- tried to do the mandatory update-- and never got anywhere else. Had to send it to be repaired. BOO!
I read that LOTS of people have had to do this so BOO BOO..

Anyway- I have it now...So Kayde and I cut out some stuff..  This cute little girl was first. Kayde watched and learned while we made the selections. She wanted her to have pink hair... Kayde glued her together also-so shes not perfect-- after all Kayde is just 2 1/2....

then I cut.. The onesie and added the skunk medallion, and printed one out to show you.

Then we printed the layered (i am really not sure if this is a bear or a cat) It has the background image plus I printed out 2 extra of the Cat-or bear, the cattails, the frog and butterfly and clouds to give it a very layered look.

SO here is what I came across. I also printed to 12x12 white cardstick to make patterned paper(like it says you can) -- Big BOO here...

My Cricut Imagine only sizes things 10.6 inches, then on preview you are able to "Fit to Page" THE BIGGEST you can get this is 11.2 Inches by 11.2 inches.. It cuts off the rest. So I was left with a 12 x 12 -      1/2 wide  in square from all the way around my cardstock. So I have a 11.2 by 11.20 patterned cardstock now.. NOT 12X12...

 I also did not see a way to MOVE your patterns around on the mat manually( to save paper) I will keep looking for it- but for now-- have not found it and since they FORGOT to pack the user manual- stylus, and USB cord the second time around-- I have to wait for it to get here before I get to read up on it...

On the UP side-- The customer service people I have spoken to have been GREAT.. They even called me to let me know the new one shipped and all info and done so smiling the ENTIRE time!  And when I had to call this morning--No USB cord-- They were equally nice..

When I talked to the Rewards department about not having a rewards ticket in Imagine More-- they still done so in such a nice way I couldn't be mad that that Cartridge comes with NO rewards points..

Customer Service gets an A++++++ while warehouse(people fixing and repacking my machine) gets a F----.
Yes- the warranty STATES- they can send you a refurbished model! I DID NOT think that would be a problem -but with SO SO SO many people having to send theirs in-- there is NO short supply of Refurbished machines!

 OH well I got it now.. NOW I'll be waiting for Sure Cuts A Lot to become compatible with the Imagine so I will have FULL use of the Cricut without having to hold on to my Expression too.

The Imagine is HUGE and heavy!

 Next the Mat is NOT all they say it is... But it's working for now!... They had a bunch of those returned also-- not sticking enough..

In the Imagine it works pretty good- the expression Not so good- even though you are supposed to be able to use it in all Cricut machines(except the Baby) 12*12 mats only machines...

 OK so now on to my expression and SCAL..

Creepy However needed a little tweaking...

I designed it with the web lines- too thin and everything broke on me.. SO I went back and fixed it.. I am going to work on the spider- I need to make the legs wider- and another part to be her body on top of the Green(like the head is Now)
But it will be awesome and since this is me beginning to attempt to make my own SVG files  I did good.

OK so I have been busy this week-- I get to go to a retreat this weekend so I am so glad to be getting away! SO no post this weekend for SURE!

Working on website

Today I am busy taking pictures and adding everything to my website that I have already made up. This might take awhile since I am also working under the influence of pain killers. I had a tooth pulled and I am not sure if it all went well. That was Tuesday-this is Saturday and I'l still hurting . The pain is affecting my ear(i am having trouble hearing-and some numbness) I am also having a numb feeling up my jaw and an over whelming sensation of that side of my face being swollen! I would say -NOT GOOD. I am on antibiotics and pain killers. Lets give it a few more days... Tell them doped up me is attempting to get some stuff done! I really really want to scrapbook- but need to get the site up first!

Ok So I haven't done much scrap booking lately...

I have been busy- seems like I get nothing don when I'm this busy. I have come to the conclusion that I can 't scrap book at home anymore. It is just too much hassle right now with Kayde being so little. I did work on a few pre made kits I had from years ago.. Took them to my sisters house and put my finishing touches on them. I will post them later.  Just wanted to check in... Have a good day.

Busy Busy Busy!

Well I have have pinned to my computer for almost 2 days now.. I am attempting to get the website up and running. I did not realize that getting products on there would be so time consuming...

I have to take pictures of everything, then fix them (crop and lighten if needed). then I have to resize them. They are just too big for the web. I resize them twice- I need a larger photo for detail(Zoom) and a thumbnail for the catalog.
Then I have to upload them, describe them, set the prices, and what not! I have got hardly anything done-- But I have done alot!

Alot more needs to be done. Good news is I think I am getting quicker at it.

Myscrapchick.com watermelon bear

Well It is early for me  but got 6 pages from a scrapbook page kit done over the weekend. I am never happy with JUST the kits so I'll be adding more to them then posting them later..  In the mean time- posting more of my collections here...
